Late in the game, freshman Kylee Millard runs the offense. With the Wildcats having a big lead coach made a point to get everybody in the game. “It is important, of course there are JV games but it’s not the same thing,” head coach Marc Kruger said. “Getting them out there with a chance to prove themselves to us coaches is important. It can lead to them possibly getting a larger role when we need bench players to set up.”

Junior Peyton Moore looks for a path to the basket, he totaled 11 points on two of three shooting from the field, as well as sinking seven free throws. Although the Wildcats offense was able to put up a decent amount of points, a tough third quarter both offensively and defensively hindered the Wildcats chances to come away with a victory. “They came out in the second half with a lot of energy and they used that to their advantage,” Moore said. “We also had some empty offensive possessions in the third and they also took advantage of that.”

He would end up having 136 yards on the ground and three touchdowns. “I’m excited to see what our team can do,” sophomore tight end Brandt Pickrell said. “I know Thursday wasn’t the outcome we wanted, but we have a very talented team and I’m excited to see what we will do the rest of the season.”
