Brady is a senior and this is his first year on staff for the CATalyst staff. He is involved with golf and Special Olympics here at Millard West. He enjoys playing sports, volunteering, and bonding with his friends. He also loves traveling to new places as well as trying new foods. Brady is excited to cover Millard West sports and learn more about the students here at Millard West.

Senior Jordan Gassen gets ready to shoot his free throws after being fouled. The Wildcats needed all the points they could get after being down in their game against Lincoln East. ‘’Being efficient at the line is important for my game,’’ Gassen said. ‘’The points add up in the end and it’ll be important for us to be able to make these if we want to compete this year.’’

It was now the third set, and Green was looking to get points on the board. ‘’I wanted to give the squad a fighting chance in this set,’’ Gassen said. ‘’Even though we lost, I’m glad we went down trying.’’

Ballin’ is a habit

Senior Nicklaus Wright loads in stride as he takes the batter’s box. The Unified softball game was just about to get underway on a beautiful Tuesday afternoon. ‘’I had a lot of fun in this game, and batting was my favorite part,’’ Wright said. ‘’It was cool that I got to pitch for my team.’’

Seniors Bobby Joseph and Jackson Williams jump for joy as Williams crosses the goal line. This touchdown by Williams contributed to the monster win over Burke , with a final score of 48-7. I knew I was due for a punt or kick return, I just didnt know when it was gonna come. Williams said. I also should be thanking the boys up front for great blocking, and putting their bodies on the line.

In the midst of shirt toss, senior Aedan Romero takes flight to launch a t-shirt into the crowd. The crazies were the stars of the show during our Fall pep-rally, leading and getting the school ready for the Battle of Q-Street which took place just hours later. Honestly, I was a little nervous to see how everyone would react to this years crazies, but as we took the stage, everyone was super excited and it ended up being a lot of fun, Romero said. My one goal was to prep everybody for the game, and just simply get the energy going from the start.
