Several Student Council members are relaxing after spending six hours decorating for last year’s Homecoming. The dance was medieval themed. “I absolutely loved setting up the big wall in the commons,” Hanash said. “Doing that each year made me feel like I was putting our work on display for the whole school, and this year that feeling got taken away from me.”

Voters are able to register online via the Nebraska government website, by mail or in-person. Nebraska offers Early Voting access, so they can vote earlier than November 3, using any of these three options once they are registered. The deadline to register is October 16. Anyone wanting to vote in the upcoming presidential election will need to fill out an official registration form.

Sophomore Tayler Hand picks an apple at Vala’s Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard over Labor Day weekend. The Apple Festival allowed for Vala’s to have a sort of “test run” before the rest of their fall season. “My favorite part was being able to do something that feels normal in a world of craziness,” Hand said. “It is similar to the pumpkin picking in which you drive out to the fields on the hayrack ride.”
