In attempt to raise the money JCB President Olivia Peterson stands by the bead sale. Selling for a dollar each, the sale raised $150 for the ACS. Events like this are so important for supporting your community and giving back, Peterson said. I would consider the event a success because we are getting the opportunity to put money back i our community.

Smiling wide, senior Chanley Forst accepts the traveling trophy. Forst is a member of Senior Class Board and volunteered to receive the trophy on behalf of Millard West for beating Millard South in a T-shirt selling contest to raise money for the American Cancer Society. “Accepting the trophy was nerve racking because it was in front of the whole crowd at the basketball game,” Forst said. “I forgot about being nervous when I was actually up there because the money we raised is for such a great cause.”
