Taylor is a senior in her first year being apart of the CATalyst and MWHS Wildcat News Staff. Taylor is also in her second year on the Prowler Yearbook Staff. Taylor’s favorite parts of journalism are writing feature stories and photography. Outside of journalism she is involved in Senior Class Board, National Honors Society, Spanish Honors Society and soccer. After high school, Taylor plans to attend Nebraska Wesleyan University to continue playing soccer and double major in business and Spanish.

Smile beaming, junior Jospeh Drwal patiently waits for his turn to walk the red carpet. Every guest attending Night to Shine was able to walk the carpet while their name was announced. When I walked down the carpet I smiled he whole time, Drwal said. I was nervous at first, but then I had a lot of fun and started blowing kisses and posing for the cameras.

Hard at work, senior Breanna Mack prepares for her class of elementary schoolers at The Rose theater. Mack began her journey in the performing arts in the sixth grade and has been interning at the theater since June of 2018. Starting this internship has helped me with my theater skills and improved my confidence, Mack said. Teaching at The Rose has even shed light on maybe teaching theater later in life.

Smiling wide, senior Chanley Forst accepts the traveling trophy. Forst is a member of Senior Class Board and volunteered to receive the trophy on behalf of Millard West for beating Millard South in a T-shirt selling contest to raise money for the American Cancer Society. “Accepting the trophy was nerve racking because it was in front of the whole crowd at the basketball game,” Forst said. “I forgot about being nervous when I was actually up there because the money we raised is for such a great cause.”

Hoops for Hope

Hand in hand, senior Madeline Wederquist and her brother turn one picture into a full blown photo shoot. To Wederquist her relationship with her brother is more than that of siblings; he is a built in best friend. “Clay is the most stubborn and spunky human being I know and I love him with my whole heart,” Wederquist said. “He’s always there when I need a hug and I wouldn’t trade him for the world.”
