Christian Naujokaitis is kicking off his senior year at Millard West and this will be his first year on the journalism staff. Christian is a year younger than the rest of his senior class, coming in at 16 years old. Christian runs varsity track and cross country and is looking forward to finishing fast his final year. He is also enrolled in the Digital Film and Cinema academy at Metropolitan Community College. He is very interested in video production and editing.

The Millard West boys varsity team warms up for one of the toughest courses this season. Even with the tough competition they competed very well and aren’t going to back down for the rest of the season. “Going into the race I knew I could get a good time as long as I worked the uphills,” senior Cole Haith said. “I have started to get more relaxed and more confident during the races.”

Junior Piercze Marshall asks junior Sammy Ullman to be his date for Homecoming. Ullman replies with the obvious answer, “of course”. “I had to make sure I asked her over a week in advance,” Marshall said. “Now with this time, I can coordinate clothing and everything else with her.”

This is the album cover for “Certified Lover Boy,” it shows the twelve pregnant lady emojis with the white background. It is a very plain cover and it does not show a lot of effort Drake put in it. That is not true for the album though, as he put more than enough effort in making this masterpiece.

With a subtle first lap, sophomore Jack Witte is in first at the Metro track meet. In this meet, some of the best runners compete for a spot at districts but for Witte, he breaks a record. “I just ran my race and it ended up being a fast time,” Witte said. “I knew what the record was and I went for it.”
