The Heart run continues their annual tradition of the kid’s dash across the field. Towards the end of the event the kids line up across Werner Park to begin their run across the field. "The dash is something that we have always done at our events" Burton said. "Its a moment celebrated by the kids to show how far they have come through their CHD journey.

Senior Golden Kelly sells chocolate bars in order to raise money for the National Honor Society fundraiser. “The fundraiser is a fun tradition for NHS because it gives everyone the chance to see what it is like to make sales and build connections around the school,” Kelly said. “It is especially exciting because we are selling something fun such as chocolate bars.”

Myself and a friend, Natalie Thomas, show off our costumes at the photo booth. All night long, as the band played and the guests mingled, the photo op area was open to preserve memories and promote Leap-for-a-Cure. “The atmosphere was very lively, super fun and full of people who wanted to help a charity,” Thomas said. “It made me feel thankful so many people support people suffering with this illness.”
