Students in either groups of five or four gathered in the libraries production rooms in order to hang out with their furry friend. “I loved the dog that we had,” junior Lauren Jones said. “She was so well trained and made the experience so calming and comfortable. She even knew a few tricks, like high fives and handshakes, which made it even more fun.”

Horrocks talks to a client about scheduling a stay for their pup. She works as a receptionist at the Paw Spa Pet Resort just off of 168th and Harrison. Working with dogs all the time is amazing, Horrocks said. Some days the job can be extremely stressful because having angry dog moms is not fun.

Dog bandanas cost around $8.00 for smaller dogs and $10.00 for larger dogs, and scrunchies cost around $5.00. “I choose patterns based on what is trending and also basic patterns, like flannel, that look great on dogs,” Horrocks said. “My favorite is a cow print fabric because I just love how it looks on my dog.”

Feeling comfy, junior Daniel Holt cuddles with his foster dogs. His family has fostered many animals, and these are just a few of them. I am excited to come home every day to play with the puppies Holt said. Although they can be a handful sometimes, fostering animals is worth it.
