In January, Millard Public Schools board members voted unanimously to include a $125 million bond issue on the May 12th primary ballot. The bond money would be used to renovate and update the districts 38 buildings, with emphasis on four of its oldest schools. The proposed issue is estimated to bring a one-cent increase on the property tax levy, which means on a $200,000 house, it would equal $20 a year.

In attempt to raise the money JCB President Olivia Peterson stands by the bead sale. Selling for a dollar each, the sale raised $150 for the ACS. Events like this are so important for supporting your community and giving back, Peterson said. I would consider the event a success because we are getting the opportunity to put money back i our community.
