Placing out all of the finished cookies, senior Sydney Prasch organizes all of the decorated gingerbread cookies. Prasch and her extended family got together to bake 2,000 plus cookies to give out to friends and food drives. The cookies are all made from my aunts homemade recipes and they are the best things Ive ever tasted, Prasch said. Ive been helping since I was three and it is my favorite holiday tradition.

Teacher Jennifer Priest and her family get ready to cut the ribbon and kick off the JDRF walk at Mahoney State Park. “My favorite thing about the walk is the support you feel from all the families and to know they go through the same challenges your family does,” Priest said. It is also so uplifting to see all the funds that are raised for diabetes research. Each year we are given more hope that we are moving closer to a cure of Type 1 Diabetes!”

Sitting among the stairs at the infamous Roman Theatre in Jordan, junior Sarah Qaud journeys throughout the country to popular attractions such as this one. Taking a trip to visit her family living outside of the United States, Qaud spent 38 days outside of the country this summer. “The Roman Theater is mindblowing, and it was so interesting how Jordans would just sit and walk around it normally, whereas I was acting like a whole tourist,” Qaud said. “There are no words to describe how much I enjoyed it.”
