As she tosses her ball down the lane, sophomore Gwendolyn Naumann scores 134 pins for her team in game one against Millard North on Tuesday, Jan. 27. Naumann assisted her teams win against the Mustangs with a total of 17.5, and one and a half individual points coming from Naumann alone. “My goal for the meet was to beat whoever I was versing,” Naumann said. “Along with getting the highest score I could and picking up all the pins.”

As she gets wrapped in tissues junior Skylar Ostronic models a Hubert de Givenchy inspired look created by her partner junior Kali Oleson. On Monday, Jan. 24 French Club held a fashion show to learn more about French designers and the fashion culture in France. “I think at the fashion show we demonstrated French culture by showing off some of the best looks of the best designers in the world,” Ostronic said. “France is home to many of the most well-known designers whose influences are still present in the world of fashion today.”

Explaining directions and the designated rooms each Forensics and Debate student will compete in, Forensis coach Jennifer Jerome wraps up her directions. Starting off the season with an in-person tournament the GOLD tournament was held on Nov. 12 at Millard West High School. “Im excited to finally get back to in-person competition,” Jerome said. “We wanted to start with our GOLD tournament so that our novice members could get the swing of things before we jump into the busy season.”

Keeping the ramp sturdy, junior Jayci Reimers helps her teammate Addison Scott roll her bowling ball down a lane at the Millard Invite. Participating in several Unified sports before Reimers was looking to expand her relationships with her fellow teammates. “You get the privilege to work with kids that help you learn more life skills that you can use in the future,” Reimers said. “I am so happy I chose to join Unified Bowing because everyday and every minute you spend with these kids you are learning so many new things and making so many memories.”

The Millard West Unified Bowling team put up a great performance in their tournament in Norfolk. They were able to obtain a third and sixth place finish. They have big hopes for the rest of the season and what can come for the team.
