These are the looks of the Iphone 11(top) and the 11 Pro(bottom). It’s easy to see why I’m hating the camera design, right?

The iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro were officially announced on Sept. 10 by Apple. These new phones will debut some nice new features including an all new screen, power chip and camera setup. They are currently available for purchase and have been flying off the shelves, with well over a million already sold.

The first feature is the screen.

The iPhone 11 will have a 6.1 inch liquid retina HD screen with an all-screen LCD Multi-Touch display with IPS technology. As for the iPhone 11 Pro, it will have a 5.8 inch Super Retina XDR display with all‑screen OLED Multi‑Touch. The Pro Max will have 6.5 inch Super Retina XDR display with all‑screen OLED Multi‑Touch. The screen’s super retina displays ensure the highest pixel quality for the cleanest and clearest look. I believe the screens will have amazing quality and look great.

Both of the phones will come in the same amounts of storage.

The smallest being 64GB, the middle being 128GB and the highest being 256GB. The price of the phone will change based on the amount of storage buyers wish for their phone to come with. Along with having very good storage, these phones also come with Apple’s brand new A13 bionic chip. This chip is first class technology and makes the phone much faster in everything it does. Apple says that the A13 chip in these new phones is six times faster than A12 chip found in the iPhone X models. The storage is the same as always so nothing new there. The A13 chip however is brand new and something to get excited about, I believe that this will be a big selling point for these phones and draw buyers.

All of these other features are great, but the biggest and most visible change is on the back of these phones.

The iPhone 11 will debut two separate cameras, which we have never seen from Apple before. We have seen two adjoining cameras, but never two separate ones like this phone has. Along with being able to take normal pictures this phone will be able to take wide and ultra wide pictures. This new feature will allow buyers to capture more of the environment when taking the picture. The cameras will also have improved portrait mode along with an all new night mode for taking pictures in the dark. As for the iPhone 11 Pro, it will have not one, not two, but three separate cameras. This is the first time we have seen any three camera design from Apple. This new phone can take wide, ultra wide and telephotos. The Pro will also have improved portrait mode along with night mode to make pictures in the dark look much better.  Both of these phones will also allow consumers to record in 4k at 60fps.

These new cameras on the iPhone 11 Pro work great. The ultra wide(left), wide(middle), and telephoto(right) really change how a picture looks.

I know that the cameras will function great and people will be able to take great pictures. Having said, they look horrible. This is one of the worst camera designs I have ever seen. The cameras are on a little bump and the way they have them arranged just looks awkward and like they don’t relate to each other.  I was personally a big fan of the adjoining camera designs like on iPhone X models. I think it looks much better when the cameras connect instead of having such an awkward, unused space between them. The camera look is just really weird to me and I’m not a fan at all.

As for the price of these phones, the iPhone11 will start at $699.  The iPhone11 Pro will start at $999. With the Pro Max costing the most, start at $1,099. I think the price of the phones is normal. I think the starting price of the regular phone at $699 is pretty good but then again, that is only the starting price. Once there is a starting price of $999 that is where it starts to get much too expensive.

My verdict is that if people are super big into picture/video taking and the design doesn’t bother them this would be a very good phone to get. For me personally, I don’t like the triple camera design and I don’t really take that many pictures so I probably won’t be picking up either of these phones. Plus, my iPhone 6 still works great.
