As the weather gets colder, Starbucks comes out with its seasonal drinks every year. People are getting ready to come and claim their tasty drinks during the winter to warm up their chilly days. It’s a tradition for Starbucks to come out with these drinks during the holidays to brighten up the spirit and excitement.

The three drinks that I will be reviewing this winter from the Starbucks menu were the Caramel Brûlée Latte, Ice Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte and the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino. I purchased two tall and I got the Caramel Brûlée Latte short size. The price for the short Caramel Brûlée Latte is $5.10, the price for the tall Ice Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte is $5.32 and a tall toasted White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino is $5.32.

On Tuesday November 9, I hopped into my car and drove to my local target 17810 W Center Rd where there is a Starbucks located to the right of the store.  The Starbucks in Target had excellent service and there was no line. The aesthetics of the place all around Starbucks was a seasonal/modern theme. The chairs were set perfectly with seasonal decorations placed on top of the tables. They had stockings with employee names on them located at the front of the when you enter Starbucks. Also, they had coffee beans inside the bulbs which were draped across the windows. The seasonal cups are designed with red wrapping paper garland was decorated across the cup. Starbucks brings the red seasonal cups out every year where they are placed and displayed by the merchandise stand where there are other seasonal cups you can buy.

The first beverage that I purchased was the tall Toasted White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino which was $5.32 with peppermint on the top of the drink. I will say I was a fan of this drink since I love any kind of white chocolate or anything that has a peppermint flavor to it. When I took the first sip of the drink I was blown away. It was just the perfect amount of peppermint drizzled on top of the whipped cream and the white chocolate mini chips were scattered across the Frappachino. I could taste the toasted part of the white chocolate chips dissolved in the drink. Overall, I enjoyed the drink. I would give the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha Frappuccino 4 out of 5 stars. The ingredients of the White Chocolate Mocha include “white chocolate sauce and steamed milk”, and then it is finished off with sweetened rich whipped cream to create the white chocolate delight experience for the customers”

The second beverage that I bought from the Starbucks seasonal menu was the short Caramel Brûlée Latte which was $5.10. A brulée is a dessert that has a custard topping with caramelized sugar at the top of the drink. I will say I was shocked by this drink the most since I’m a big caramel lover of anything that has caramel. I love Caramel Frappe and caramel Frappuccino. My first time trying the latte just felt like drinking a regular Caramel Frappuccino from Starbucks. Taking the first sip of the latte blew my mind. The Caramel brûlée latte “ingredients consist of espresso, milk, ice, and rich caramel brulée sauce topped with whipped cream at the top of the drink and a colorful topping” of even more caramel brulée bits to add to the drink’s flavor. The Caramel Brûlée latte was a successful drink. I would give the drink a 5 out of 5 stars, and it’s by far the best drink from the seasonal menu at Starbucks.

The final beverage I tasted was the tall Ice Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte which was $5.32 which knocked me out of the park. The first time I sipped it felt like my tongue just engulfed a sugar cookie dipped into almond milk with some coffee mixed in. The Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte was a surprise in my opinion. There had been bad reviews on the drink because it tasted bland but overall the drink was fantastic. It was presented perfectly and tastes amazing. I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars.

In the end, all three of the drinks from Starbucks were amazing; none of them failed my expectations. By far the best drink out of all of them was the Caramel Brûlée Latte by a big long shot. I believe that they could have added different ingredients like caramel or some strawberry flavor to the Toasted White Chocolate Mocha and the Iced Sugar Cookie Almond Milk Latte to make them a 5-star drink. There’s a variety of seasonal drinks than those but those are the ones I enjoyed the most and I wanted to review.
