Freezing Moo is a new rolled ice cream place down on dodge in Central Omaha.

Freezing Moo, a new Thai rolled ice cream place, opened its doors in July of 2019. With seven other locations countrywide, Omaha’s the newest one.

They have a variety of hours throughout the week. On Sunday it’s open from 12:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m., Monday-Thursday it’s open from 3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. and on Friday-Saturday it’s open from 12:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m..

They offer a wide variety of flavors for rolled ice cream for a pretty decent price of around $7. They offer 18 different flavor options and many more toppings to choose from (almost 40).

When you go in, you get to choose your flavor and then pay for it. You then get to watch them make your ice cream. The workers then ask what toppings you want. You get to pick three.

They do offer dairy-free and vegan options for anyone who can’t have regular ice cream. Many of the toppings are gluten free as well.

When they were making the ice cream they draw things on them anywhere from your name to an animal

I decided to get S’mores Please (number five on the menu). And the three toppings I got were a toasted marshmallow, crushed Reese’s and three pocky sticks.

When they handed me my ice cream it looked excellent, but it wasn’t the best taste wise. It was way too sweet with very little flavor. My taste buds were confused about what to think.

They also only offer one size which is really big and I couldn’t finish it. The interior is very little kiddish and feels as if you are in a daycare. The walls are covered in cows and cow print and they even have a kid play area. The music also wasn’t the best. It was the non-hits of what seemed like 2015. The tables were also weirdly small. You couldn’t put any of your stuff on them.

If you live in the Millard area, Freezing Moo is quite far from you (all the way on Dodge) and is a 24 minute drive from Millard West. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go someplace that’s not even that good, but if you are driving by and want to try it, I would say go for it.

It’s also very busy in there with very little staff. I was lucky to get there early enough to where it wasn’t busy at all, but when I was eating the people started to pile in. The line ended up being out the door. They only had four people on staff and they all were making ice cream one lady constantly had to stop making the ice cream to take orders.

I personally didn’t like this place as much as I hoped. So out of five stars I would give it a 3.5. Because It didn’t really taste good and it felt like I was in a pre-school. I do like the amount that you get for the price, but I wish that they had different sizes. If they could find a way to get a little more flavor and a little less sweet I would like to go there more.
