Senior shortstop Tyson Lewis rounds the basepaths after hitting a huge triple to change the tide after being put in a 4-0 hole. Lewis had the triple but as well as two walks and a hit by pitch, and plated two runs. “Yes I have had a good start to the season, but I am always looking to get better,” Lewis said. “ Sometimes you just gotta keep your head down and focus on your craft.”

Senior linebacker Easton Behrens celebrates after a big hit on Prep junior quarterback Tony Coniglio. Behrens and the Wildcat defense hit the Jays behind the line of scrimmage over ten times, and had a sack himself. “Coming into the game I wanted to blitz more,” Behrens said. “With the way the game went, I was happy I got the nod to rush after the quarterback more and more, and hope I can do it some more in future weeks.”

Coming out of the game, the team's main goal was to stay strong throughout all four quarters.  If they played at the same level of intensity throughout the whole game, they could be unstoppable. “I think one thing we need to work on moving forward is having more composure in the games,” Straley said. “We need to really work hard for all four quarters of the game and not just a couple of them.”
