Students sign the Resolution of Respect poster as a way to affirm their belief in the ideas promoted by the ADL and No Place for Hate campaign. The No Place for Hate is a student driven campaign that highlights the importance of making sure schools have an equitable and collaborative climate.

Junior Michael Boehm tosses his trash bag into the dumpsters after spending time cleaning up the campus. “I think it is immensely important to celebrate Earth month at West because it gives us time to focus on the planet for at least a month out of the year,” Boehm said. “If we are able to keep the momentum from Earth Month going forward, it can launch into a whole year of celebrating our planet by keeping it clean and habitable. It becomes a domino effect of one upstanding student inspiring another student to save our planet.”

Members of National Honors Society pack bags with fruit and juice at Food Bank for the Heartland to be donated to families. “Whenever I have time I always try to do things like this because I really enjoy helping people,” junior Jordan Bakar said. “It was fun engaging with people and working with others to help out the community.”

Pulsera means bracelet in Spanish and they come in fun colorful bands. There are many different designs and patterns that you can purchase. Each bracelet comes with a tag including the artist’s picture and bio. The money is sent back to the local artists and students allowing them the chance to put the money to good use.
