Juniors like Alexander Kuhn and Mikayla Gdanov are choosing to graduate early to pursue their academic careers. Kuhn and Gdanov both have a desire to help others and plan on doing so after graduating from high school. “I chose to graduate early because I wanted to get a jump start on college and my career pathway,” Gdanov said. “I also knew I could with my AP and honors classes that I have taken.”

The pit feeling of dread and pensiveness crosses every about-to-be college student’s mind. Deciding whether or not higher education is their true calling is no easy task, and the bill only makes it harder. The ongoing financial struggle-- that tends to take up a decent portion of one’s life-- is hair-ripping and stressful as is. Tuition for numerous out-of-state public universities is far too high for non-residents and should be reconsidered for a lower price similar to that of a state resident.

For Junior Abby Buckley the chance to perform and compete with Team USA has left a lasting impact on her life. Her drive and endurance continues to shine through her work. “Team USA has changed my life by knowing that if you work hard enough you can accomplish great things,” Buckley said. “Just getting the chance to represent the USA in Holland is an accomplishment on its own.”
