Jacob Larson is a junior and it is his second year on staff. Larson is an NSAA award-winning journalist and enjoys covering school sports and making feature stories. He hopes to improve his stories and broadcasts throughout the school year.

Malcolm James McCormick, popularly known as Mac Miller recorded “Balloonerism” in 2014, but decided not to release it. The album was finished, which made the Miller’s estate feel like this album could be released.

Students will wear the lanyards around their neck when they leave the classroom. This will make it easy for security guards or administrators who are patrolling the hallways to get a clear look of where they’re going. “I think it will stop overcrowding,” junior Caden Reynolds said. “I’ve noticed that bathrooms can get way too many people during class, and it makes it impossible to make it back to class in a timely manner.” On the back of the passes, the room number is listed, which lets administrators take them back to the correct class, if the student is just wandering around.

Sophomore Cade Walker dropped a career high 16 points. Last year he averaged 4.5 ppg in 21 game, never eclipsing 10, which makes this performance that much more impressive.

“CHROMAKOPIA” is Tyler, The Creator’s eighth studio album. This album follows his 2021 release “Call Me If You Get Lost” which did 169,000 album-sale equivalent units first-week, and his 2019 release “IGOR” which did 165,000 and was Tyler’s first number one album of his career.

Theater director Brooke Phillips earned the Inspirational Theatre Teacher of the Year Award, recognizing her dedication to her students and colleagues over the years. “Everything I do is for the students at our school,” Phillips said. “But any teacher will tell you the best part of our job is to know that we made some sort of difference.”
