After senior Jackson Williams pitched, senior Tyson Lewis runs off the field and holds up a signal to show Williams struck an opposing player out. The boys were both invited to play for Area Codes in California. Its an invite only event, Lewis said. The games are played between some of the best high school players in the country in front of professional scouts.

Blake is a senior at Millard West and this is his first year on staff. He enjoys commentating and has been an active contributor to the Millard West STRIV program throughout his high school career. Outside of journalism, Blake is a member of the drumline and is a Utah Jazz content creator on YouTube.
Sam Whittaker
Sam Whittaker, Staff Reporter
Also known as the voice of Millard West Hockey, Sam is a junior at Millard West beginning his first full year on the Catalyst Staff. He spent the summer working alongside Logan Moseley for the Corn Belt League gaining valuable broadcasting experience. In his free time, Sam cheers on the Tennessee Volunteers and Nashville Predators whenever he isn’t broadcasting or photographing Millard West sports.
