World language classes are offered to students in high school to improve upon skills that can greatly impact their futures. However, its the schools’ responsibility to better promote these classes and encourage students to consider just how important they can be. An increase in understanding and empathy for different cultures and regions could greatly benefit future generations.

Second languages are taken more seriously in high school as they are required, but this is not as effective as beginning that education at a younger age. Starting earlier increases the likelihood of maintaining multiple dialects and creates a pattern of advanced cognitive processes in the still constructing mind.
